Dropbox Fax stores local data (like confimations of faxes sent) in a HelloFax folder in Dropbox root folder. That is prime real estate and you should be able to change the default folder location to anywhere within your Dropbox.
The Dropbox desktop app has a limit on the number of files it can sync to a computer. When I signed in, the app told me "Dropbox can't sync over 500,000 files to this computer" and asked me to choose folders. But the Selective Sync window only shows the size of each folder, not how many files it contains. Size says very…
In Windows, when I right-click a file in File Explorer and choose Copy Dropbox link, the link goes straight to the clipboard. Nothing shows whether it is a view link or an edit link.
In the Dropbox desktop app for Windows, the Preferences window, Selective Sync and Manage hard drive space have a fixed size. They cannot be resized or maximised. I think that functionality is good for a lot of use cases (creates a repository of the edits), but having the ability to…
Many professionals rely on Finder's Date Modified column to quickly identify active projects. Currently, Dropbox desktop updates or metadata refreshes can cause thousands of folders to receive the same "Date Modified" timestamp, even though the folder contents have not changed. This effectively wipes out one of the most…
If you are in a hurry, the guide to the new AI is a pointless annoyance, as you end up killing and restarting a few times before skipping through to the end as fast as possible. When you have time to read it, the guide as gone. I did use the AI to help compose this message, but don't see it being of much use otherwise.…
We have a lot of Dropbox users, and our team gets email notifications every time anyone creates a folder. This is clogging up the inboxes. We would love an option to turn this off for team members.
