My sharing ability has been suspended. I THINK that this was triggered when I accidentally mistyped an email address for sharing a folder. I assume that when the "nondeliverable" message bounced back to Dropbox, the platform decided that "my files might contain phishing content." But now I can't access anything relating to…
Dropbox has stopped syncing on my Fedora 44 linux installation. I'm getting this strange result: eric@fedora:~$ dropbox version Dropbox daemon version: 268.4.4124 Dropbox command-line interface version: 2026.01.15 eric@fedora:~$ dropbox start Dropbox isn't running! Dropbox is already running! eric@fedora:~$ dropbox update…
It's incredibly frustrating to only be able to tag files on the web version. Please add the ability to use them in the mobile app. It feels like such a basic feature that should have been implemented a long time ago.
My basic plan info says I have either 4.75 GB or 2 GB of storage and have used on;t 178MB. When a friend tries to add some photos to a shared folder Dropbox tells him I am out of storage space. What gives?
Dropbox starts out using about 400 MB of memory or so on my Mac running Tahoe 26.6.2 and within a few days it is consuming 30 GIGS or more of RAM and eventually my system crashes and I have to restart. How do I stop this from happening? Thanks
I use Dropbox for retaining work and personal records. I use/access my account on an almost daily basis. I logged on today and there are many missing files and I most assuredly did not delete them either on purpose or by accident. How can I get them restored.
In the Android phone app, after we move a file we are returned to the source folder. Some of us would prefer to see the destination folder after the move. There are use cases for both preferences. Please add an app setting called something like, "Folder after Move." The choices would be something like, "Show source folder…
I have a folder that won't disappear no matter how many times I delete it. It pops back in for me, and for other users. This has happened before when someone on a Mac put a funny character in the filename, so the file wouldn't sync on my PC. However, that's not the case here. There are two empty folders in another folder,…
I have deleted all my photos from Dropbox now and it's still saying I am out of storage space. Any ideas why? Thanks.
I read through the list of questions/answers. I use DB for genealogy for tons of people - share their folders when time comes, etc. What becomes of all those files if I delete the app? Files/folders still on the website, I presume, that if I go through the update process, they will drop into the new app? Can't risk losing…
This vital feature seems to have disappeared. When sending time sensitive or otherwise important files, part of the reason we use Transfer is that we are automatically notified that the recipient has downloaded the files. I understand it can be set case by case, but when we are doing this regularly, it seems like an…
There needs to be a way that senders can update the signer after a document has been issued for signature without canceling the entire request. A company's staffing change can cause hours of work to resend documents to new contacts. This is especially tedious if a document doesn't fall within the parameters of a template…
I freelance and have multiple clients with their own Dropbox accounts. After using Dropbox since 2014 I can quite honestly say the worst feature of Dropbox is that Shared Storage counts towards my limits: https://help.dropbox.com/storage-space/storage-space A few times, clients share their folders with me so I can pull…
