My files were removed without warning (email) due to an over-quota status. Is there any server backup that can be temporarily restored. I wanted to remove some files to get under the storage limit for the basic plan. There were options galore to sell me on an upgrade, however, little guidance if any to trim the stored files.
Thanks for posting this on our forum, @joelyoung29. If your files were deleted because your Basic plan went over-quota, Dropbox should’ve sent you multiple emails about this before the deletion occurred. If you can’t locate them in your email inbox, can you also check your spam folder? I'd also like a screenshot of said email(s). In case you can’t find them there either, is it possible that the Dropbox account in question is linked to a different email address? Let me know what you find, and we’ll look into this further.
