I have backed up my entire Hard drive at Drop box for a easy migrations to a new Computer, Now the passwords are not working reset and downloaded desktop version, Now Desktop Drop box is empty and can't get to my files on with web browser, How in the Hay do i fix this?
Hi @NicoleHrabik - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Have you ensured that you're logging into the correct Dropbox account on both the Dropbox desktop app and on the website?
Can you please send me a screenshot of the exact error you're getting so that I can have a visual too?
Let me know more and we'll take it from there, Nicole.
I updated the password, and I downloaded the Desktop version. The web browser seems to be fine. I do see that some files I have on the old Mac are not showing up here either. The desktop window is completely blank, and no files are showing. The only thing I can think is that it may take a while for the upload of the files onto the desktop.
I see, thanks for the screenshots @NicoleHrabik. When it comes to the desktop app, can you check your menu bar and let me know the app's exact status and version?
Well I have tried to download the latest version. Version 266.4.3911 to my Mac Desktop for the 10x, so I tried from my iphone to manage Devices and Link the computer Dropbox and Installed it again. This is what I see, but look at the Web version on Chrome has all my files.
It's getting a bit frustrating to work this way. Not impressed at this point.
@NicoleHrabik, have you compared the email address you see here with the one showing under the Account tab of your desktop app preferences? Are they the exact same? Please note that even the difference of a dot in the email address means that you’re currently logged in to two different Dropbox accounts.
