I would like to see the app be able to have some level of background removal while scanning in color mode. My Brother all-in-one printer has three levels of background removal (low/med/high) even when scanning in color mode.

Hello,
I'm also experiencing the same need for a background removal feature in the color scanning mode. The current grayscale filter is useful, but it doesn't solve the problem when you need to keep the original colors of a document or photo while cleaning up the background.
From using the mobile app, I know that after creating a scan, tapping the sliders icon gives you editing options like Crop, Rotate, and filters such as Black-and-White and Whiteboard . A "Background Removal" option here for color scans would be the perfect solution.
This feature would be incredibly helpful for digitizing old photos or important colored documents where the paper has yellowed or the background is uneven. It would save users the extra step of having to use a separate editing app to achieve a clean, professional look.
I hope the Dropbox team considers adding this functionality. Thank you for raising this idea.
Best regards.
