I am having an issue with Dropbox syncing. I am using Windows Pre-Release build 26220.8754. When Dropbox Syncs it stops syncing saying waiting for files to sync and then does nothing. I also noticed the Dropbox files and folders are no longer accessible while the app is running and after the system is rebooted.
Any help for this issue would be awesome!
Hey there, @619beave, welcome to our Community!
Could you please confirm your device's exact OS, along with the version of the Dropbox desktop app and its syncing status? You can find this by hovering your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your taskbar, next to your WiFi.
Do you get any specific errors when trying to access your files and folders while the app is running? If you try to add a file inside your Dropbox folder and immediately check the app's syncing status while the file is added, what does it say? If you have any screenshots of this behavior, please send them over so I can take a look.
Keep me posted!
The Windows Release is Windows 11 Pro Pre-Release build 26220.8754. Unfortunately, loading Dropbox onto the computer will lock up my C Drive and will need to reboot the computer. I have installed the latest version of the Dropbox app this morning. After installing the latest Dropbox app it did the same thing.
The Error is as stated, Unable to load folders up that Dropbox is locked up on. Currently, I am running the computer with Dropbox app not loading.
I tried posting a video of the issue and it did not allow the link to the video
Hey @619beave!
Keep in mind that the operating system you are running is not currently a fully tested or supported environment for the Dropbox desktop application. You can see a list of our system requirements here.
While we aim to support a wide range of operating systems, we only provide official support for versions that are stable. We apologize, but we cannot assist with technical issues on unsupported systems.
Do you have another device you can use? Please check if you can reproduce this on a device with a supported operating system to see if the behavior remains the same.
The Laptop is running fine with no problems with Dropbox. It might be the Beta version I am running.
I thought there might be another issue.
Thanks for the support.
