It's incredibly frustrating to only be able to tag files on the web version. Please add the ability to use them in the mobile app. It feels like such a basic feature that should have been implemented a long time ago.

This has come up from the community a few times before, so I’ll open this up for voting and see how much wider interest there is in bringing tags to mobile.

In case anyone from Dropbox marketing is looking at these ideas, this single feature would allow Dropbox to compete with Amazon Photos and other photo sharing platforms. (Okay, you would probably need to add filtering by year/month as well).
I think I commented on a similar idea a few years ago when I was deciding whether to upgrade my Dropbox (currently free plan), upgrade my Google Drive storage, and/or keep my Amazon photos storage. I kept my Amazon photos storage. I was really excited to see the tags feature, and I had planned to switch from those to Dropbox. But with the lack of mobile for tags, it looks like I'll be sticking with Amazon.
