Recovery options on files that were deleted more than 30 days ago on the Basic plan

Hi,

This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but it seems to be my only option.

I recently discovered that my now ex-wife deleted some files from Dropbox. Most of them I don't care about, but one thing she did delete was my Keepass password database. This was done back in May.

Many of the accounts that I've been using lately I knew the passwords off the top of my head so I didn't need to access the database. I tried to get to the database last week, and discovered she had deleted it. Stupid me should have backed it up, but I can't do anything about that now.

At any rate, given that I'm on a Basic free account with the limitation that deleted files are not accessible after 30 days, is there any option for me here? I'll gladly pay a reasonable fee for this.

I'm afraid there's nothing to be done from our side to help recover this file since it was deleted so long ago.

I figured that would be the answer, but I "closed mouth don't get fed" and all that. I can recover the information, it will just take time. This time it will be backed up properly...

I understand @rickettsbw - I know it's not optimal, but at least you'll be able to restore the info and save it somewhere safe this time.

I have a very similar case. Would switching to a professional plan allow me to access files that have already been deleted earlier?

Hey @Mikul!

Unfortunately, files deleted more than 30 days ago can't be recovered. Even if you paid for an upgraded plan, the extra recovery time would only apply to files deleted after the upgrade.
