Dropbox deleted my files after 2 years. Is this possible?

Hi! i logged into my dropbox account for the first time since 2023, and i cant find any files in my account (its a free account). Could they have been deleted by dropbox, and is there any way to recover them? Id really appreciate it if someone could take the time to respond to this.

Yes they will have.

Dropbox deletes the data on accounts after 12 months of inactivity. You get multiple email warnings this is going to occur before they do it.

No, not via Dropbox, I'm afraid. Once data is removed its permanent.
