I renamed a folder of Paper docs and it got deleted after that. Why did this happen?

A few days I renamed my 'Paper Docs' to '_Paper Docs' so it would appear listed as first folder in Dropbox. It worked without issue.

However this morning when I tried to access my Paper files, they were all gone from both Dropbox and Paper web UIs.

I have years of documentation and my song lyrics there. It's super important for me.

Can anybody please help?

I found my folder under the "Deleted Files" section in the Dropbox web UI and restored it. The question is why it got deleted, and if it will happen again...

Hi @jaymann! Glad you were able to find your Paper docs and restore them.

Did you also have a look at your Events page here? You may be able to find more details on why this folder got deleted this way.

The Events page says I deleted my 'Paper Docs' folder 4hours ago. This is not true, I was not working at my computer at that point. I think you should look into it

Before the folder got deleted from your Dropbox account, do you remember if you made any updates (besides renaming it a few days ago)?

You can see below, 7 hours ago was adding files I was scanning with my mobile. I did that for a while. I wasn't using my laptop until later. And more importantly, I didn't delete any folder or file at all as I was only using the 'Add to Dropbox' feature from my Android mobile.
