Clickable link that allows users to upload files?

I work with subcontractors(roofers, window installers, etc) that submit their pictures of completed work into shared Dropbox folders with the office. I want to add a clickable link on our PDF labor bills. Is there a generic link that crews could like that would automatically open their app on their phone? I don't want to have to use their dedicated shared folder link.

Hi @jmabus, thanks for messaging the Community!

While there isn't a generic link you can use to open a shared folder in the mobile app, you could create a file request link.

This doesn't require them to have a Dropbox account, and they can upload files directly via their browser into your Dropbox account.

I am not trying to get them directed to a shared account. I just want to have a Hyperlink built into a PDF, that when someone clicks it, it immediately opens the app.

Hey @jmabus, so if I understand correctly, you just need a link that will simply open the Dropbox app and nothing more, right?

To be honest, there's no way to create a link through Dropbox that would do this.

Perhaps there's some kind of 3rd party app that might be able to do it, but it wouldn't be something we can support.

Correct, I just want t a link that would open the app automatically. It's kind of of wild that there is no link to open the app, as simply as that is. Thanks for responding to me.
