My Photos folder is empty but uploaded photos are chowing only in Camera Uploads, this only changed today. help please?
Hi Everybody,
Thank you so much for reporting that everything is back to normal. Our engineering team implemented a fix that should restore visibility of photos in the Photos tab. If you're still experiencing any issues, let us know and I'll make sure that information is passed along.
Thanks,
Ben
Megan, This is happening to many users, the problem is at Dropbox and not user end…
Yup, me too…. I contacted db and they passed it to tech support 20 hours ago…. Still does not work…
It’s the same on all platforms, photos have disappeared since Saturday….
YES, STILL DOES NOT WORK….
I have tried on 4 Apps (iPad, iPhone, Mac, Windows), and multiple browsers on MacOS and Windows.
NO photos are loading into Photos tab, but are found in Folders (sub-Folders)
This has started happening in past 2 days.
I have deleted and reinstalled apps, and logged off and logged on browser windows.
Please HELP 🙂
a community manager wrote today: Our team is currently working on it.
Looks like they fixed it, its working for me now
really? on which device or just in the browser?
Both on Chrome (windows) and Android App
Unfortunately not for me yet. But I think it will take a while until it works everywhere again.
And now it stopped working 😞
Guess they still haven't figured it out 100%
Mine too can’t view photos been like this the past 3 days get a grip Dropbox!
Finally, all back to normal on my MAC, iPad and iPhone
I'm also up and working, after a few hours in forums and websites trying to see if I was doing something wrong 😞
I can also confirm, it works again!
Not yet for us... I'm sure that it will return to normal in a few hours ..... IOS devices seem to be working though
Still not working on iPad and iPhone at 21.18
10/7/2024 (4:00 PM CDT) Hi Lisa, I’m new to this discussion and having the same problem. After deleting the Dropbox app from my iPad and reinstalling the latest version from the app store, my photos tab is completely empty with a message that “no photos have been uploaded”. The photo files are present in my Camera Uploads folder. Following, in hopes of resolution.

My Swann cctv photos and recordings are missing they have been since Saturday I read a post that it’s meant to be fixed but still not working here for me
Update: 10/7/2024 (4:21 PM CDT) Not long after posting my problem (above), I rebooted my iPad and found photos restored to my photos tab. My thanks to the engineering team for the fix!
And it only took FIVE DAYS and the Dropbox "status" page never even acknowledged there was an issue. Not acceptable.
@BenDBX
Sorry to put a spanner in the works but this is not completely fixed yet.
It is true that some photos & movies have returned to the Photos tab but not all of them.
It would appear that it is now showing stuff found in the Camera uploads folder and its sub-folders but I am still missing photos that have been moved out of Camera uploads to another folder. Up until last week the Photos tab showed all media regardless of where it lived, i.e. from Camera uploads and other folders too.
Can anyone else confirm this is happening for them too?
Yes, it is working for me now.
In my case, both Android phones Samsung S21 Ultra and Samsung Note 8 started to display the photos correctly again last night without my intervention, seems Dropbox have solved at least the problem for me. 🙂
Working for us on the IOS devices - website photo indexing is happening at a glacial pace - too slow to be of any use at present.
Hello, yes I am using the photos tab
Hi everyone,
Could we please get a confirmation that this issue has been resolved?
If anyone still needs further assistance, feel free to let us know so we can look into it.
Thanks, I've merged your post to that thread. Please see this reply showing that the issue should be resolved by now. If you're still experiencing this after rebooting your device, please let us know.
