my question is:
Is there any plan that is even cheaper than the normal basic plan of 2000 tb? It happens that I want to have more storage space, but the cheapest plan is still quite expensive.
Is there an alternative storage plan, which is cheaper?
Hi @wdshieh, if your account is eligible, you could upgrade to the Dropbox Basic Extra plan, which offers all the existing features on Basic, but with 50 GB of quota.
I really think it's time that Dropbox offered a cheaper plan than the Plus that is 9.99/month for 2TB. I wish something was offered in the $1.99/month price point that offered 100GB like Google Drive.
I wish Dropbox had a $1.99/month 100GB like Google Drive or a $4.99/month for 1TB plan. Or $3.99/month for 500GB.
HI @M7153DRC, I've merged you to this post, please check the posted solution to see if this can apply to your account.
right now I'm purging my DB to stay under the free level.
If they had a cheaper plan, I'd switch to that in a heartbeat. they're losing money.
Generally, my Drop Bos basic storage of 2 GB accommodates my needs. Unfortunately, I have been ill and was unable to clean up my files and now getting messages that my drop box is full. I would NEVER need 2 TB but thats the only option available for upgrade. Since I cannot afford that I guess I will just have to delete files to free up space. I think it would be fair to have an upgrade plan that doubles your storage and price, not quadruple + leaving customers to pay for oversized plans that dont fit their budget. Create reasonable, budget friendly plan between 2 GB and 2 TB. There are plenty of clients with needs in between.
The packages dropbox offers do not suits majority of small users like me, i max need 100 or 200 gb, where as your options are free 5gb and then 2tb. You should fill this gap with smaller options, so customers like us who are using 5 gb for many years can now upgrade to 100 gb. Obviously 2tb is far beyond my requirement, i could gradually upgrade to 100 gb and then beyond. Plz consider, and if you could instantly offer me this package i would love to buy it. Thx
Thank you very much for referring me the Dropbox Basic Extra plan...exactly what I needed.
Daniel
you need to offer a basic extra something like 100gb like onedrive or google does, no fancy extras , as you 799 .2tb is no much space & price for some of us, lots of people on the net would use it, as i like dropbox better but you limit the size ,
For many years, every year, I come here to check if Dropbox has started offering smaller plans... They're losing customers.
HI Better price for the 2TB willbe good
best
I have a 2TB plan but I don't need it and it is also quite expensive for me. Can I have a max of 500 GB for a lower fee?
Hi folks,I wish if dropbox can follow flash drives spaces such as 64GB, 128GB or 512GB before moving to large space were many people can not cope with high price.
one agent supported this idea.
is this idea doable Dropbox?
Regards
It would be an excellent idea to expand the audience to include single users, who often don't need a lot of space, to add a 50-100 GB plan for 1-2 euros per month, so perhaps you could subscribe instead of the classic iCloud
I fully agree!! If there is a plan 1 tb or even 500gb will be great! I have the same problem that is to expensive for that I need the 2 tb
thank u
I wish they could do that for us who will not need too much space
There seems to be a lot of requests for greater storage at a reasonable price but very little indication from Dropbox as to the way forward.
Please include a cheaper 100 GB plan for me
how to be eligible to this option please
Hi there @issa2 - thanks for joining the discussion here and showing your interest in this.
If you're eligible for the plan, you'll be able to upgrade through the page Jay linked in the 'Accepted Solution'.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
The page shows prices. How to be eligible is not mentioned even on the page. I have been with Dropbox for more than 15 years.

A lot of similar promotions or trials are often specific to a region, so if the plan isn't available to you on the linked page, there's usually no way to become eligible. It either applies to you or it doesn't.
As a potential consumer, I give you feedback.Your products provide good quality.
I hope your company can offer 2-3 entry-level products with more favorable prices.I expect you to provide 500 and 1000G specifications to reduce the product price.OneDrive Home Edition offers 1TB*6 for approximately US$100(720RMB) in EU and USA and US$70 (498RMB) in China .OneDrive person Edition 1TB US$55.
(1) Consumer affordability and Price comparison
The starting 2TB space is not suitable for some persons, too much useless space. At present, the price of your entry-level products is high for developing countries or economically sensitive people. Some persons want 500GB, 1000GB or 250GB space (onedrive entry-level product 1000GB). Can you provide more product solutions with more specifications?
For example, the product price is 300GB with 20 US dollars a year (OneDrive person Edition 1TB US$55).
(2) Years of usage and experience
Your trial is only one month long, so it has little promotional value because consumers can use it for too short a time.People need to use it for 2 years before they discover more features and good value.
You can even attach conditions that each person can only buy it for Max period (5 years), and after 5 years, the customer need to upgrade to a higher-level product.
I can understand Dropbox for education, for business, but for region with respect I do not see any reason why some people will have access to space while others are not. Thanks
