I have 2GB of free storage and am getting the message I have run out of space? What is the quickest way to delete selected files to create more space as can't afford to purchase more.
Thank you for your reply. Did I read correctly, that if I delete or permanently delete a file or folder (or anything I guess) it does not free up space?
Thank you for the clarification. So do I have to delete each individual file or folder and if so, is there a way to select individual files and folders until I have selected all I want to delete, and then delete all those selected with one click? I assume this would be quicker than deleting one file or folder at a time? I hope I'm making this clear.
Thank you!
When I delete a photo file I get asked if I want the file deleted on all devices. I only want to delete photos in DB and not from my PC. Will my PC files be deleted too?
@011656 - if they are in the Dropbox folder on your computer yes they will (as thats what Dropbox is supposed to do - it syncs everything across all devices). However, if the file is also in, for example, My Photos which is on your desktop then THAT one wont delete - only the one in Dropbox.
I receive messages about my Dropbox being full. I would like to empty my Dropbox by simply moving all files to my harddrive. I have no interest of using Dropbox as a permanent file storage. How do I do this?
Hi @JesseX, I'd be happy to answer this one for you!
Do you currently use our desktop app, or the website?
Let me know, and we'll take it from there!
I use the desktop app. It is already empty since long time back but I keep receiving e-mails about my quota being full.
Hey @JesseX, thanks for responding back to me!
Is it possible that you have two Dropbox accounts? If the app is empty, and up to date, then the website should reflect the same thing.
Is your Dropbox connected email address the same as the one you're receiving these emails to?
