Is there a way to end my free Dropbox Plus trial and return to my Basic account right away?

Hi everyone,

I started the 30-day free trial of Dropbox Plus and canceled the subscription immediately after starting it, so I won't be charged when the trial ends. However, the trial is already active and 2 TB has been added to my account.

I'd like to end the trial completely right now and return to the Basic plan immediately, instead of waiting until the trial period is over.

Is there a way to end an active Plus trial early and go back to Basic right away? If it can't be done from the account settings, could someone from Dropbox do it for me?

For reference, auto-renewal is already turned off, so no payment is scheduled. I just don't want to stay on the trial any longer.

I understand you'd like to cancel your free Plus trial, effective immediately.

How did you start the trial? Did you use the Dropbox website or the Dropbox mobile app on your phone?

If the latter, did you use an Android or iOS device?

Thanks for the reply, @NightFox930201.

In that case, we can't really cancel the trial on our side, since it's controlled by Apple iTunes.

You'll either need to allow the trial period to complete, so that the account can get automatically downgraded, or you could reach out to Apple, in case they can help you cancel it immediately.

That shouldn't be an issue, to be honest.

Downgrading your account shouldn't remove your accumulated bonus space, but on the off-chance that something happens, you can always reach out to let us know and we'll investigate it on our end.
