Hi everyone!
We're excited to share that the Dropbox Sign and Fax API documentation has moved to a new developer documentation platform designed to make it easier to find answers, understand API behavior, leverage AI, and build with confidence.
This new experience introduces several improvements for developers working with the Dropbox Sign and Fax APIs, including AI-powered help, easier sharing with LLM tools, and cleaner documentation access for modern development workflows.
What's new?
Ask AI Chat
An AI assistant is now embedded in our documentation and can answer questions using the full Dropbox Sign and Fax API documentation as context. The AI assistant can help with explanations, examples and implementation guidance. Each response includes linked citations so you can verify the source material and learn more.
Connect your AI coding tools
Developers can now connect supported tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and other MCP-compatible clients directly to the documentation through a hosted MCP server. This helps to bring current Dropbox Sign and Fax API context into your development environment while you work.
Copy documentation pages as Markdown
The option to copy the full page as clean Markdown is now available on every documentation page. This makes it easy to paste documentation into ChatGPT, Claude, or another LLM when you need help understanding or implementing a specific API workflow.
Open docs directly with an LLM
Where available, you can also choose an "Open with" option to launch your preferred LLM with the documentation page already included as context.
Improved support for AI discovery
The new documentation experience is optimized so AI tools can more easily read and understand the docs, including clean Markdown versions of pages and support for `llms.txt` and `llms-full.txt`.
Why this matters
Our goal is to make the Dropbox Sign and Fax APIs easier to discover, understand, and implement. Whether you're exploring the API for the first time, troubleshooting an integration, or preparing to move an app into production, the new documentation experience is designed to help you get to the right answer faster.
