All files in my Dropbox account were deleted back in March - can I recover them?

Hi,

I am part of a very small association that uses a Dropbox Basic account for storing our files.

Yesterday, we discovered that all our files were deleted, and only the empty root folder remains. Apparently, the files were deleted by the owner of the Dropbox on March 18, 2025, but he has no knowledge of deleting the files.

We urgently need assistance with recovering our files as they contain many important documents for our association.

Is there any way for us to recover these files?

I have already:

• Checked the deleted files section (nothing there)
• Reviewed the events history and can see that all files were deleted on 18/03/2025
• Read the FAQ articles without finding a solution

Sorry to hear about your files, @falsters4.

The issue in this case is that the files were deleted more than 30 days ago, which is the recovery window for our Basic accounts.

Just to confirm if there's anything that can be done, can we send you an email to investigate internally?
