Okay so I understand there is no way to reset the password if you can’t access your old email. I still have access on my phone (still logged in). Is there a way to create a new account and have these photos transferred to that account via phone only? Or to transfer them to another cloud? Very disappointed that there is no workaround to gain access to my years of photos.

You could try creating a new account on the website and then a shared folder between the 'old' and new to get all data transferred over?

Since password of one of my Dropbox account [email removed as per Community Guidelines] has expired i am unable to access it , also this account has been deleted a long time ago , so i can't access the new password , kindly help me with this .Please I have tried a lot to restore the deleted gmail account associated with my account Bt not able to restore it as its been permanently deleted.Kindly help me as the account has all my important pictures and files

I have the same problem. I remember the password to the account but it expired and I no longer have access to the gmail account because it got deleted and I now have new devices so I have no access to any previous devices. I can provide pictures to confirm that I am the onwer of the account.

Hello. I am having the same problem. I have another Dropbox account with very important photos of a trip I took with someone who is no longer with us and I cannot access them. The email that I used, I don't have access to anymore, and I don't have access to the old phone number either. Please help me get back to my old Dropbox account. I've even signed up with this new account right now to pay so I can hopefully have access to my cherished photos again. Please help.

When was the last time you accessed this account? Could it be more than 12 months?

And is your password also expired on that account, do you remember receiving such an email at any point?

I think my password might have expired. I have the email working now that I started it with. Is there any way to get the account back? So many pictures my family and I would love to have again.

If you have access to the email address linked to your account and your password is expired, you can try to reset the password. Keep in mind that if you haven't accessed the account for more than a year, it may have been deleted due to inactivity.

When was the last time you signed in to the account? If it's been more than a year then the account likely doesn't exist anymore.

I am having the same issue! Email used is deactivated so no longer have access to my account. Is there a way to gain access as it asking to enter 6 digits to verify account.

@Kenville - the only way is to regain access to the email address I'm afraid OR an already connected device.

I have two old dropbox accounts but I dont remember passwords AND I dont have access to the email info would be sent to anymore. I know it is stupid but I need help. Lots of precious docs in old accounts

@rellis as has been said it isnt possible without access to the emails I'm afraid.

Also. If you haven't logged in for over 12 months the data would have been removed anyway 😞

Without access to the email, there's really no way of verifying your account ownership, to help you regain access to the account.

In that case, you won't be able to sign in to the account. You need access to the email address in order to receive the reset information. Also, if you have two-step verification enabled and it sends a code to your phone, you'll either need access to the phone or you'll need the emergency backup codes you were give when you enabled two-step verification.

No, Dropbox will not do that, nor will they help you access the account if you don't have access to the email address associated with it.

You'll need to open a private browsing window and go to this page, to submit your help request.

Make sure you use an email address you can access.

Hi,

I made the stupid mistake and created a Dropbox account with the wrong email a couple of months ago. I forgot the G in gmail, can you believe it? I also purchased the 2TB storage and added my files without realising the initial error with the email address. Now I have to return my computer to my previous job (on which I am logged in on the Dropbox account), and wanted to log in to my Dropbox on my new computer.

The thing is, I have forgotten my password as well. I can't reset it as that would mean I would need login to the "@mail.com"-mail, which I don't.

So now I'm not really sure what to do. I don't remember the password so I can't update the email, and I can't reset my password because I don't have access to the wrong email.

Any suggestions? Please.
