Dropbox logged me out of my devices and I don't receive the 2FA SMS code to sign back in

Hi,

for some reason dropbox logged me out in all my devices out of the blue and now I cannot seem to be able to log back in on my phone because the SMS for the 2FA is never arriving.

The app won't give me any other option other than that SMS and no matter how many times I try, no SMS with a code will come. I have older SMS so the phone isn't blocking it and I don't want to use an authenticator app because I have had even worse experiences with those in the past, what can I do to log back in on my phone and when will you stop logging me out for no reason forcing me to resync over 2TB's of data for days on my desktop and getting additional problems like this? It is very frustrating and at this point I am really considering moving to another cloud service.

I'm not sure which one of the two options was the case…

since I got logged out the dropbox folder on my windows machine got fully unsynced and once I logged back in a prompt appeared saying there is not enough space on my local drive to sync every folder and offered to only sync manually selected folders instead

since I only want those files to be online and not saved on my local disc, I told the prompt to sync every folder anyways and it seems like it only re-indexed the contents, but took a couple of days anyway.

The prompt was confusing though but I have had it several times so I knew I could tell the app to sync every folder, I tried once otherwise and many folders completely disappeared from windows explorer even though these were only meant to be online content. I find that prompt very confusing and it adds up to the annoyance of not having done anything on my own to get logged out in the first place.

Anyways all the folders seem to be now synced again

Regarding your desktop app, do you mean that a new Dropbox folder was created and synced all of your files from the very start? Or that Dropbox took some time to re-index everything instead?
