Hello,
could a Dropbox staff member help me open a support ticket for a manual file recovery review? I’m on Basic, and the support form I could access says it is restricted to login and billing issues.
I previously paid for a TB storage plan and used Dropbox to store photographs from my photography. My account now contains only about 8 GB of files.
I found an email dated October 14, 2025 showing that I was using 23,674.5% of my Basic allowance. Based on my 3.25 GB allowance at that time, that would represent approximately 769 GB of stored data. I know I was using a considerable amount of storage.
While cleaning my inbox, I also found a January 31, 2026 warning that files would be deleted if I didn't act by February 1. Unfortunately, these emails were buried, and I did not see them in time. I’m not sure exactly when the deletion occurred or whether there were other removal events.
My Deleted files page is empty, and my account is displaying another deletion warning for October 24, 2026.
Could someone please help investigate:
- When files were removed and which folders or how much data were affected.
- Whether any photography files remain recoverable through a support-assisted restoration.
- Whether any missing shared folders can be rejoined.
- Whether the upcoming deletion can be paused while this is investigated.
I understand the normal recovery window may have passed, but I would appreciate an account-specific review rather than being directed only to the empty Deleted files page.
If additional storage/plan upgrade is required, please confirm what can still be recovered before I purchase an upgrade solely for recovery.
I can provide screenshots of the historical usage email and deletion warnings.
Thank you In advance
