Can I recover files outside of 30 days?

I deleted files out of my Dropbox 34 days ago when I was setting up my new computer. In the process of moving files around the drives became corrupted and now I cannot recover them from the physical media.

Is there anyway to recover the few files that were hosted on Dropbox? I'm talking about ~10 text files that I was using as journals. I deleted them on August 2nd and only just thought to check Dropbox again. I would greatly appreciate any help.

If I upgrade to a plan with the longer time window will they reappear in rewind?

Hi @field_den, thanks for messaging the Community.

If you're on a plan that has 30 days of version history, then upgrading to a paid plan wouldn't work retroactively to allow you to restore that data.

Is it possible that you have this data saved on a machine that hasn't recently synced to your Dropbox account?

Hey, Jay. Thanks for getting back to me and I hope your weekend is going well. That's a shame. Unfortunately not. I've been trying to consolidate my data and luckily I had most things backed up, but it seems these couple of files were not on my backup. I've scraped the raw files from some of the drives so they might be buried in the 1s and 0s, but it's slow going through the enormous number of files it found.
