I recently accessed my Dropbox account, and my account is empty. Why?

Hello DB Community, this is my first time accessing the Help Community.  I've been offline for a few years and recently revisited my DBox.  I thought I had a stack of photos stored but that file is empty.  Did DB do anything different with images in the last few years.

Hi there, @SianW, let's jump right into this!

Please bear in mind that an empty Dropbox account after a period of inactivity is usually caused by one of two main issues: logging into the wrong Dropbox account or the account being deleted due to inactivity.

How long has it been since you last accessed your account? Please check your events page and deleted files page to see if you spot any activity or missing files.

Is it possible you have two Dropbox accounts and the one with all the data in it, was under a different email address? If you have any linked devices to that account, can you check to see if you get re-directed to the account itself?
