This is a real mystery!
I used to upload images to the root of my dropbox over the course of 2 years or so, maybe a total of 20 images, every month or so. All of a sudden I noticed all those images are gone. I still have 3 older folders in root, public and two folders I created.
I clicked "Photos" in the menu, and could not find them here either, however I did find one of them in a folder in which I seem to have copied to by mistake. I tried to move it to the root, only to get an error message saying the file already exists there. This leads me to believe that the files indeed are still in the root, but I cannot see them for some reason.
When I search for the exact filename, I see only 1 hit which is the mistake folder, not root.
One hour later, I tried to move the image again, now it worked without error message.
I have tried both Android app and web site and can't see them in either.
All files except all files in root seems to be intact.
I see no deleted files under Deleted files > All files or Deleted files > Restoration during the last year.
The way I uploaded them, was Android, share image, Add to Dropbox, Save (in root).
How can this I solve this? Dropbox support staff is unavailable unless you pay so I can't bug report it.
