Something is deleting thousands of
files on my system, how can I secure Dropbox from this?

You can find which device these deletions are from or who deleted them, by checking the version history of the deleted files (once they're restored).
Let me know what you find and how it goes.

When you click on one of the "see deleted files" links in the email, you should be redirected to the particular deletion event's details on our website.
There, you'll see a list of all files deleted on that particular event, along with a "Restore" button at the top right of the page.
