this is sad that dropbox.com has removed the emil URL to send an email to support why was this done?
Hey @Frank P E. - thanks for your post on our Community!
Have you tried navigating to this page to check your support options based on your Dropbox plan?
Let me know and we'll take it from there.
hello —- thanks for your reply ok that link takes me to the ai chat —- there is NO url to email support —- the "your support options → compare plans" indicate that the "family play" which I have has email support —— so if there should be a URL to email support it does not exist for me
Hi @Frank P E., there isn't a specific URL for email support, as each section on the support page has its own 'Submit a request' button you can click, which has an envelope on it.
There you enter the required information, and that would create a ticket to the support team, and you'll receive an automated email reply confirming you sent a message to the team.
You would then get an email from the support team when they review your ticket.
What do you see exactly when you access the support page?
thanks for your reply —— so when I start at https://www.dropbox.com/get_help —- I don't see any text like "submit a request" —- what am I missing? is there a URL for the "submit a request" button?
Did you select a category first @Frank P E.?
Here's the page that the "Email our support" button will take you to: https://www.dropbox.com/get_help/your-account/access-your-account/contact-us
That page lists three options, two of which are reserved for paid plans.
If you just need to use the free plan's support form, here's a direct link to it: https://www.dropbox.com/get_help/your-account/access-your-account/contact-us/account-access-and-security-form
thanks for your reply —— after going to item 1, there is NO PLACE on the screen with the text "your account" —- can you post a screen thatr shows an option to submit a email to support?
As different plans have different support options, could you attach, or copy and paste, a screenshot showing what options you see when you access the Dropbox support page, in order for us to help you out further?
hello can you post an screen shot of "submit a request" —- I can't seem to find it
on the "get_help" page there is the ai chat bot —- at the bottom of the bot are my options
I have the family plan —- and email is part of that plan —- does email support mean I can't start an email but have to wait for the bot to create a ticket?
Hi @Frank P E.
Thanks for reaching out.
Let's try and make sure all steps are being carried out correctly.
Navigate to the Get Help page and follow these steps outlined in the gif:
If you are not seeing the section marked as "Your account", make sure you're signed in.
If you still can't access these steps, please attach a screenshot of what you see when you go to the get help page.
