As I would like to join a different family plan, how do I first change my current family plan to another standard plan? My family plan just renewed a couple of months ago.

You would first need to cancel your current subscription and wait for the account to downgrade. The cancellation would go into effect at the end of your billing cycle, so you'll remain on the Family plan until your next schedule billing date. At that point everyone's account would downgrade back to Basic and you'd be able to join a new Family plan.

If you need to join a new Family plan now, you can do so with a separate account.
