My account seems to be inaccessible since it got too full.

I would like to know, why account was locked. After my storage allegedly got too full. I thought extortion was against the law. Forcing individuals to pay for a plan or they loss all their pictures of their babies and their legal documents. Won't make these individuals want to become clients. Now how can get my personal information and photos back?

I just wanted to pop in here and clear up a couple of things:

Customers can always download their data no matter what.
The only exception is that Dropbox does not keep the data indefinitely if your storage is over quota.

If you can't access your account full stop, then I suspect that this is a completely separate issue from over quota data. I'd suggest continuing to troubleshoot this issue with @Nancy and @Megan and hopefully this will be solved soon.

It sounds like you're experiencing what's described in this Help Center article, right?

Have you tried to remove any unwanted shared folders or delete some of your content in order to bring your account below its allocated quota?

I can't do any of those suggestions. Thanks it not allowing me to get into it.

Hey @Mindy5. Do you mean that you’re not seeing any option to remove excess files from your Dropbox account, in order to bring it under-quota?

If that’s the case, can you send me a full screenshot of what you see exactly on your end? I can take a look for you.
