HEIC media_info metadata and thumbnail support?

Are there any plans to support HEIC photos and videos in the Dropbox API?

I was surprised to find that it didn't work already TBH. Would like to see support for this on the thumbnail calls (which currently support jpg, jpeg, png, tiff, tif, gif, webp, ppm and bmp) as well as on any call that supports returning media_info data, eg get_metadata.

Thanks for the post! I'll pass this along as a feature request, but I can't promise if or when that might be implemented.

Thanks. Is there some other supported way to extract image metadata from HEIC files without fully downloading them?

No, unfortunately the Dropbox API doesn't offer a method for that for heic files.
