Maximum upload throughput?

Hi everyone,

We are thinking of integrating Dropbox into our environment.

We have a 10gbps internet connection - would Dropbox be able to saturate our line?

Your connection speed to Dropbox depends on a number of factors, such as the routing you get between your ISP and our servers, and may be slower than your ISP's rated speeds. That being the case, unfortunately I can't guarantee any particular performance characteristics.

In a perfect world, how much bandwidth can Dropbox accept?

Dropbox doesn't intentionally throttle connections, but I don't have any information on how much bandwidth one could theoretically get.

For optimizing uploading via the API, be sure to read the Performance Guide though.

No, unfortunately I don't believe there's any channel or document I can refer you to for a definitive theoretical maximum for this.
