My images don't load on mobile when I visit my website that uses dropbox direct photo links. The desktop site works fine.
Hi all,
As you may have seen, this issue is now resolved and a fix was rolled out earlier this week 🎉
Let us know if you have any questions.
Emma
Hello. I have shared files of pics on a web forum. Displayed on a computer (not mac) works fine. But not with ipad or iphone.
The url's have worked well when created and setted within "img" tags in the forum issue.
Is there any thing wrong with the url's or is there a setting about time limits ... ?
Still need help with this @Lusil, thanks!
@Lusil I still would like to know what is happening and what Dropbox's recommended remediation for links not working in Safari is, yes.
Our clients host images on Dropbox and then utilize sharing links to put those images in our software. Currently Apple users are not seeing these images when we have had no issues previously.
Is there a problem with SW or Safari on the ipad / iphone ?
I have latest upgrade SW on my tablet / phone.
Hello Lusil,
This happens on all Apple devices in both Safari and Chrome. Here is an example of the HTML we use when hosting images through Dropbox on our platform: src="https://dl.dropbox.com/s/9t94folrof80ost/balletheader.jpg?dl=0" alt="
We have been using the above code for years when hosting images. We are not receiving any error messages. Images are just no longer displaying on our pages with that coding since 3/2/21. Here are a couple of screenshots. One on an iPhone and one on an Android. Samsung Galaxy S7 Chrome:
Here is the same webpage on a iPhone 8 Safari:
I agree with @Rudi B Rasmussen Dropbox hasn’t been forthcoming with us on this issue. I put my support ticket in on March 2nd and have provided them with additional requested information, but haven’t received any explination yet. If I hear anything useful I’ll report it here, but I’ve already moved on to a CDN solution as I mentioned in a previous post.
hoo-ray!
has there been any issues with android? as the IOS fix has been rolled out.
Hi
I have the same problem but with videos, can you please help?
Hi there @Billy5, thanks for joining the discussion here and happy Monday!
Can you check if you've set your videos to be uploaded through the app's settings under the camera uploads option?

Hallo Walter, thank you for your response. Yes, I did this on Safari browser and nothing happened. Still appearing only empty frames. In the same time in Google Chrome everything works fine...
Maybe it will help if I send you the address of my website, you can check if it displays correctly for you...
