Hi everyone! For this How I use Dropbox, we’re hearing from @Mark,our Super User. He has been using Dropbox for years and years, and he has his workflows down to a fine art at this point! Check out of all the ways he uses Dropbox best.
For me, the best thing about Dropbox is that it keeps everything connected without me having to think too much about it.
It starts with keeping everything in one place. Course portfolios, lessons and recordings all live in Dropbox, so I know where to find them when I need them. For older content, online-only access is especially handy, I can keep years of resources without filling up my computer.
Then there’s everything coming in and going out. I use file requests to collect work from trainers and candidates, which saves a lot of chasing attachments and sorting through emails. And when I need to send something out, Dropbox Transfer and shared links make it easy to share large files, observations and training resources. I can add passwords or expiration dates when needed, and update resources without having to send everyone a new copy.
Dropbox takes a lot of the hassle out of the admin too. Shared folders keep us connected with teammates and external partners, while Dropbox Sign makes contracts and other paperwork that needs a signature much easier to send and track.
Some of my favourite features, though, are the ones I barely notice. Camera uploads automatically back up photos I take during observations and audits, and our Zoom integration saves remote lessons straight to Dropbox, ready to share or archive.
And then there are the desktop and mobile apps. Why do I use them? Because they just work! Wherever I am, I know my files are there when I need them.
That’s probably why it’s difficult to pick one favourite Dropbox feature. It’s how they all work together that makes the difference, helping me spend less time managing files and more time actually getting things done.
Thank you Mark! We hope you appreciated this too and we'd love to know what Dropbox feature has quietly become part of your everyday routine?
