AI is becoming part of more of our everyday workflows, and a lot of the useful context you need to get the most from AI is probably already sitting in your Dropbox. Our new Dropbox integrations can bring that context into the AI tools you use, helping you find information, understand existing work and build on what you’ve already created.
Dropbox + ChatGPT
If ChatGPT is part of your workflow, you can bring your Dropbox files and project context directly into the conversation.
Once connected, you can browse and search Dropbox from ChatGPT, choose recent files or @mention a Dropbox file directly in a conversation . You can also preview source files alongside your conversation while you work.
For example, you could:
- Bring a brief, previous versions and feedback into one conversation
- Summarize or compare documents
- Pull together feedback from multiple files
- Create something new using your Dropbox content as context
- Save new work back to Dropbox and share it
Dropbox + Claude
Dropbox integrations are also available across Claude, Claude Cowork and Claude Code. You can find, search and preview Dropbox content in Claude, use your files as context for new work, and save AI-generated content back to Dropbox.
Claude Cowork can help with more action-oriented workflows like organizing files, working through feedback and creating sharing links. And for developers, Claude Code can bring Dropbox documentation and technical specs into coding workflows, with outputs like decision logs and implementation notes saved back to Dropbox.
Dropbox + Cursor and Grok Bot
Dropbox is also bringing project context into Cursor and Grok Bot, helping AI work with more than just the latest file. With Dropbox in the Cursor Marketplace, developers and product teams can bring requirements, research, technical notes and past decisions from Dropbox into their build workflows and save new documentation and decisions back to Dropbox as the project evolves.
The Dropbox MCP for Grok Bot can similarly use the briefs, assets, research, feedback and decisions already stored in Dropbox to help complete a task. So instead of spending your first few prompts finding files and explaining the background, you can get straight to the work with more of the project history already available as context.
Dropbox + Google Gemini
With Gemini chat and Gemini Spark, you can bring the context behind your work in Dropbox into Gemini.
That could mean finding the latest version of a document, summarizing a long brief, pulling information from previous work or using your files as context to create something new.Gemini Spark can also help with multi-step workflows, including organizing files, creating file requests and generating shareable links.
Dropbox + AI
Dropbox works with leading AI platforms including Google Gemini, ChatGPT and Claude, giving you new ways to:
- Find information across your files and projects
- Summarize and review documents
- Create something new using existing work as context
- Organize and take action without disconnecting from your Dropbox content
