All my photos were deleted in May - can I still recover them?

I have used the free version of Dropbox as storage for photos. I thought if I didn't add any more than they would just stay there, but I went to look in my Dropbox and only the folders remained with no photos. I then checked my email and found notifications in my spam folder about needing to upgrade my account today. Is there anyway to recover or are they gone forever?

Thanks. Is there anyway to check just in case? It is impossible to find support through the help center  I am pretty desperate and although I had warning, i didn't realize they had gone to my spam folder until I went to look for a photo yesterday. I was just using as storage for old photos.

Hey @ES_JNJ_100, thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community.

I understand that your files got deleted after your account was over quota for a while and I'm really sorry to hear that.

I'm afraid that if your files got deleted back in May, there's not much that can be done on our side at this point, as they would have been removed from our servers by now.

If I were you, I'd search my other connected devices for any locally stored copies of the files, just in case.
