I need assistance changing the email address on my primary Dropbox account.
My original Dropbox account uses ...@crownheights.co. I would like to change the email address on that account to ...@gmail.com.
A separate Dropbox account was previously associated with ...@gmail.com. To free up that email address, I deleted the newer account. When I received the error that the email was still in use, I recovered the deleted account and successfully changed its email address to a different email that I control.
Despite doing this, Dropbox still reports that ...@gmail.com is already taken when I try to assign it to my original Dropbox account (...@crownheights.co).
I own both email addresses and both Dropbox accounts.
Is there a way to verify whether ...@gmail.com is still associated with another Dropbox account? I want to release or transfer the email address so I can use it on my primary Dropbox account.
