We've deleted a large shared folder, but it's still taking up space from my Dropbox account.

I recently had large data (1.4TB much more than the limit for my account) stored in my Dropbox folder. This folder is created and the data were shared by my coauthor. Now, both of us don't see the shared folder because we decided to remove the folder to save storage charge. But I still see the warning sign saying I am using more space than the limit. Should I just wait and see what happens? I'd like to make sure I don't get charged for no usage of extra space. Has anyone experience this type of incident? Thanks.

You wont be charged unless you have put a card on and actively upgraded.

In terms of the file/folder has it been removed and you can no longer see it at www.dropbox.com/home? If so it will auto update quote shortly. If you are on a team it can take a few hours.
