What are levels?
Levels are a simple way to show how active and experienced you are in the Dropbox Community. They help others quickly understand whether they’re chatting with someone new or a seasoned pro.
This can go a long way - it can help people trust the information shared, tailor how detailed their responses are, and make interactions smoother overall. Plus, levels add a bit of fun as you get more involved.
You’ll also unlock perks along the way. For example, once you reach Collaborator Level 8, you can upload your own custom avatar (show your true forum personality).
How do I Level Up?
There’s only one direction - UP!
Getting there is easy: stay active and keep coming back. Start conversations, reply to posts, like helpful comments and join in wherever and whenever you can. The more you participate, the faster you’ll progress.

Explorer 2 | 3 | 4 | You’ve been here for a while and joined a conversation or two, but you’re mostly having a browse to find what you’re interested in.

Helpful 5 | 6 | 7 | Thanks for helping others! You’ve gotten involved in the conversation and other users like what you have to say.
You’ve might also have some accepted solutions and lots of likes under your belt.

Collaborator 8 | 9 | 10 | You’ve been really active on the community and collaborating with other members. Keep joining conversations and helping other members.

Legendary 20 | You’ve reached the peak level, the highest summit! Teach us your ways and help others follow in your footsteps. |
How can I tell what level I am?
It’s easy to check your current level.
You’ll see it in two places:
- Right under your username across the Community
- On your profile page
