Deleted all files, but Dropbox says I have no space.

I have a Basic Dropbox account. My account got full, so I emptied everything from it. But now, I cannot add new files or shared files to my account. Dropbox, instead, sends me prompts to upgrade the account. Backups is at 0.

Where else could files be hiding?

Welcome to the community @tsmoyer, lets try to dig into this. 

Firstly, I'd recommend ensuring the files you removed are really gone. 

Go to dropbox.com and click on “Deleted files” and permanently delete any items still listed there.

Then visit dropbox.com/backups and delete any device or hard-drive backups you no longer need. Lastly, check your shared folders: leave any shared folder you no longer need access to, since shared folder contents count toward your quota.
