"key not found" is the error provided. Error is reproduced on both Windows and Android.[removed per Community Guidelines]
Thanks for posting on our forum, @dajo.
Can you double check if your security key follows the required standards that are mentioned here?
If it does, please let me know and we’ll look into this further.
Ah, I see my link to the stats page has been deleted. The key follows both of these standards:
Google, the key's developer, was involved in the development of the FIDO2 standard.
Hey @dajo, would you mind clarifying the browser you're using on your end, please?
I'm pretty fluid on that. This is actually what I see on Android. USB-C Chrome
It looks like we ran into an issue setting up your security key. If this was not intentional, click Retry or use a different security key.
This security key is already registered with your account
On Edge for Windows, it looks like a normal enrollment (for a passkey), but then I get key not found at the end.
Thanks for the additional information @dajo - could you maybe forward us a screenshot of the exact error you're getting so that we can have a visual too?
Apologies, but I don't have that permission AFAIK.

FYI, team, that was a pretty fruitless support experience. I am bringing you a technical issue with the way that you've implemented 2FA. Instead, the support was simply to tell me how to enroll my key and other runarounds. Unfortunately, this will likely be the straw that breaks this cloud storage's back in terms of moving my historic data away from Dropbox completely to its competitors.Closing an issue before it's confirmed to be resolved is a classic support no-no.Titan keys work in dozens of other situations and worked previously with Dropbox.
I am having the same issue as the thread-starter.
My USB-titan key from Google can be used/added to multiple services, but in dropbox it fails with the an errormessage in Norwegian, translated to "Could not find key".
I see this thread is 5 months old, but it seems the problem is yet not resolved.
Hey @ZnarreZ, I'd be happy to look into this for you!
As a first step, can you check @Nancy's reply here, and let me know more?
Also, which browser do you currently use, and have you made sure it's updated?
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!
Hi @ZnarreZ, just checking to see if you saw our last reply. If you still need any help, feel free to reach out to us with the information we requested. If your issue has been solved, let us know what worked for you!
