Been working with DB for quite a while Today, I've attempted to load, reload, restart computer, reload...you know the drill. WHat is going on?
Hi Everybody,
Our engineering team has implemented a fix. Please let me know if you are still unable to see any elements of Dropbox on your browser and I'll make sure that information is passed along for further investigation.
Thanks,
Ben

We'd need to understand the problem you're having before we can answer that. There are no current issues with the service.
Hi Rich, I cant see the folders, files, or the left navigation bar with all our folders. When I do see them after restarting the computer, upon opening a folder, there are no files visible. THis has never happened in the 1+ year of using DB.

Does the issue persist after clearing your browser's cache or on another browser, Kate?
I think dropbox is having issues as a whole right now for certain users, because I'm also experiencing problems viewing the dropbox homepage. Other pages on the website load and work fine, but when I try to access https://www.dropbox.com/home
It just loads for 5-10 minutes with the loading icon in the center, and then as that disappears, it just stays blank. I've tried different browsers, clearing my cache, etc.
Update: It randomly decided to start working again. If it starts having issues, I'll edit this.
Update #2: It, once again, decided not to work. Same problem as before.
Ahh Haa! Clearing the cache did the trick. Thank you!😉
I cleared the cache and was able to do some work, and download a few files. Now the field is back to blank. Very frustrating!!
Sorry to hear this, @KJ Herbs. Are you seeing the same thing on a different browser/incognito mode?
I've had the same issue since yesterday—nothing loading. Cleared cache, used different browsers, restarted, and used different computers. You all still have an issue going on whether you'd like to admit it or not.
I have been having the same issue all day. No problems yesterday or ever before. Refreshing will bring back the pane at times but not the folders, other times just a blank page, other times the folders with no pane. Happening on edge, chrome, tried different computers windows 7 windows 10 and windows 11. iOS is ok. Cleared cache, reset browser settings, disabled extensions nothing works. Noticed a message saying Dropbox web just got updated maybe that screwed something for some users on some browsers?
Hey @epolito, welcome to our Community!
Is it possible that you have any plug-ins that could be affecting how your browsers work, by any chance?
Would you be able to send me a screenshot of the Dropbox page as it shows -even if blank- when the issue pops-up?
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!
When I enter Dropbox, I cannot get into folders to download files and send by email to other parties. Why is this happening? It's been going on for over 24 hours and Geek Squad couldn't fix it. Please fix this problem; I do not have an understanding boss and the patients aren't too open-minded either. I have to get into folders, please help.
Hey @Why7, let's jump right into this!
Would you be able to send me a few additional info such as the platform you're using when this happens?
Do you use our website, if I'm guessing correctly? If so, which exact browser?
Do you notice any particular errors on your end? Feel free to let me know.
Thanks!
Hi Megan - I'm using the site, and my browser is Edge. (Microsoft). I've tried every which way to enter and download files; I've re-entered names in the search box countless times and they weren't wrong most times. I've used the left panel and tried to enter the folders that way. I tried copying links and emailing them to myself and opening that way. I just get the blank white space with the Dropbox formating on the top and sides; sometimes all I get is just a blank page. I've waiting it out and nothing materializes.
Hi Megan thank you for your response. This morning I logged in and everything is fine. Did you do anything at your end? Or may have been some internet issue at my end? I was having the issue on all browsers including Safari on my iPad yesterday night so not a browser issue. In any case, I have saved some screenshots (attached here) of what I was getting yesterday as I also my asked my team for help but none of them was seeing this issue.
We're glad to hear you're back up and running and thanks for the visuals too @epolito
There was an issue that affected some website users yesterday but it's resolved now - this is probably why you were seeing this.
Let us know if anything else comes up!
Does the issue persist after clearing your browser's cache or on another browser by any chance @Why7?
Spoke too soon, the issue is back now 😞
Still having the same issue as well.
I have the same issue today! Tried different browsers, 2 PC, cleared cache, reloaded PC... The problem is when searching or using left bar. Any action gives the blank page.
Confirm the issue is also present in browser InPrivate mode.
Also note that when not using dropbox for a prolonged period of time and than going back to it, the pages load ok but when refreshing or accessing the Deleted files, the issue comes back. Very very weird!
What is "incognito" mode? I can now see the left navigation pane, but when a folder is selected, nothing is visible in the large viewing pane. I have a stack of reports with pictures on DB that I must access and until yesterday it was easy-peasy. I really need a solution ASAP.
thank you

Tyler,
That is EXACTLY what is happening to my DB account. When it was visible, I could not located a recent file I need to work on. I wish a DB tech person would contact us so we can get along with our businesses.
Walter,
I am still unable to access files to work on reports. Very frustrating as the clock is ticking...
SHould I delete the app? Will that delete to files in DB? What does syncing do? 🤔
Nancy,
I logged in using MS Edge. At first I could see the folders and files, but when I selected a file to download, the viewing pane went blank. ANother solution??
I tried another browser: MS Edge. I could see the left nav pane and files. When I selected a file to download, the screen went blank and I got stuck there. What is another solution?
Thanks for reporting this. Our Engineering team is aware and actively investigating. I'll provide an update here when I have more information to share.
I haven't been able to view or download files for about 48 hours now. I have tried two different browers, I've tried entering files listed on the left side panel, I have tried creating links to the files and sending to myself, I have tried opening in another window - nothing works. I can enter Dropbox but when I go to search for files I get a white page. I have run my anit-virus program several times, I have called Geek Squad and they didn't know what the problem was. Please help. I'm sorry I'm not more computer literate but here in this office this is an issue and it falls on me. Please help.
