Sharing files and pics with non-Dropbox users & what I should know beforehand.

I have a Dropbox Plus account with 2Tb of space. I want to share files, photos and videos with a group of friends at a club I belong to. Many won’t have Dropbox. What limitations might the non-Dropbox users experience? Eg. Will they need a free account? Folder size limitations? Will they be able to see very large shared folders even with a free account? Can/can’t upload, delete, comment? Etc. Thx in advance.

The best way to go on about this, and share content with non-Dropbox users are shared links.

 

Shared links don't require the viewer to have a Dropbox account, and can usually view, and download the content. 

 

It's currently not possible for a signed-out user or user without an account to leave a comment on a Dropbox file. Signed out users may see the comment pane, but attempting to leave a comment will result in a prompt to sign-in or create an account. 

 

There are also some can-edit permissions with shared links, but that would require a Dropbox account. 

 

If you wish to share a folder or file directly, the user you're sharing with needs a Dropbox account, and the space to accommodate it.
