Search for files on Dropbox Web using Regex

Hi all,

 

I have a very large Dropbox. Too large to have fully synced with any of my devices. If I need to search for something that I know I have in my Dropbox but is not synced to the local machine, I rely on using Dropbox Web to search for it.

 

For the most part, this has been OK, but I now need to be a bit more specific in my search to gather multiple files. I need to search for file names that match a particular Regex pattern. Is this supported? I'm shocked if not. This would seem like basic functionality for searching large data sets.

 

Am I missing something? Is there a particular syntax I need to use to search on Dropbox Web with Regex?

Hi @damienbutt, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

 

Currently, the site doesn't support regex to locate files on your account. 

 

Only these options are available for searching.
