It seems the /metadata?list=true reply contents field is always sorted alphabetically by file name. Is this guaranteed? If so, could you please document it?
Being as this isn't documented as such, I can't offer any guarantee that it will remain this way, so I don't recommend relying on it being sorted like this. That said, I'm sending this along a s a request to guarantee and document this.
Out of curiosity, Tilman, why do you care? Why not just sort the list once you have it?
@Steve M.: Because if it is always sorted, why sort it again? Also, I think, it just makes sense to document fixed result properties.
