Dropbox rewind isn't working properly for Dropbox Plus and above users

hello everyone, I am having an issue, now I know I can restore deleted files and folders but selecting is cumbersome and there is no select all button, I tried to use dropboxes rewind feature but when ever I try it states there was an internal dropbox error and I want to rewind my intire dropbox, I am currently on the plus plan, is there another way I can get this working?

no, it hasn't been resolved, and my subscription expires next month as i decided to unsubscribe due to file conflicts with my devices, online only files are giving my computers trouble, but this doesn't happen on linux, in doing so, in deleted files, I should hopefully be able to see the files in clusters, ie, notes1, and 8 other files, and restore like that, because at the moment they're a complete mess so I can't restore them all at once as I have too many, that's why I wanted to use rewind, while I can rewind an individual folder as stated above, a sub folder isn't ideal since I like to store things in the root of my dropbox rather than in folders unless I am dealing with a type of file, for instance, midi".mid" music files, I wanted to restore them so that I can move them elsewhere on my computer, since I also set up owncloud for files I don't need to have in dropbox, being able to rewind my dropbox back to before I accidentally deleted all my files in one fell swoop would be better, I wish there was an easier way of doing it at time of writing

Are you performing the rewind through our website?

If so, can you please try from a different browser or a private browsing window, to see if that works?

I tried in a different browser and still get the error, I tried on both my chromebook and mac but still get the issue, I am using the web version too, I can rewind an individual folder but not my whole dropbox

Just for info ... I've been getting the same error when going to restore Dropbox account older than 2 weeks via Dropbox.com ...

yep, my main computer is running windows 10, my mac is on ventura, mac OS 13.4.1, and my chromebook is running chrome OS 114, and I am getting the error on both of them, glad to know I'm not the only one with the issue as theoreticly you should be able to completely restore your dropbox to an earlier snapshot as I accidentally deleted a large number of files and now my deleted files is a mess because normally they would show up as one file and many others which I could select via a check box

@NB14, are you trying to use Rewind for a quite large amount of data, as well?

Has any of you logged a ticket about this with our support team via this page perhaps?

I think I did one this morning, in the man time may I suggest having a select all option on deleted files, that way if you really need to restore a large number of files you accidentally deleted or you want to clear it out you can, I can't even choose a snapshot, I go to click try rewind and then get the error, I have no other way of getting the old files back unless I use complicated mac recovery data software which is a pain to use and not ment for consumers as I deleted them using my mac

@ Nancy ... Yes 1.2TB in total.

I restored from another backup hence no ticket ... For me when there have been a lot of past data changes over a short time Rewind fails at that point ....

Since you have a subscription, if your deletions are within the restoration window for your plan, you can contact our support team, to request assistance with a rollback of your account.

@Hannah... Thanks... Rewind via dropbox.com has always been a little bit of a hit and miss for me - shame we can't rewind folders and files from the OS removing the need of websites and browsers.

I am still waiting for a responce from my previous request on the rewind, I guess I will have to wait till my subscription expires to get the old layout on deleted files
