Image dimensions no longer showing on my mac

Since updating to the new dropbox, image dimensions are no longer showing for dropbox images only.

Under the image, the 2 lines used to be the filename on the first line and image dimensions on the second line.

Now the second line says "available offline", which is useless information as there is a green check on the image!

I called Dropbox support and they said I'd need to contact Apple...

To be clear, my mac setting s are to show the image dimensions, and they do for every non dropbox image. Anyone know how to get the image dimensions to show on the second line as they used too?

May I ask what's the desktop app's exact status and version as shown in your menu bar at the moment?

Apart from that, could you please send us a couple of screenshots of where you're spotting this so that we can have a visual too?

I'm not sure what you mean by "status". It says, "Everything is up to date".

The ticket number is 22340078.

The top row of images below is what it looks like since updating dropbox.

The bottom row is a non dropbox folder. And what dropbox files used to look like.

Seeing the image dimensions easily is important for my job. I know I can click on each on and view the details in the preview sidebar. But I can only check one at a time.

I don't need the "available offline" message. There is a check to show that.

Hi @apodyopsis, I hope you're doing well!

The policy is recursive (applies to all files within the folder) so if you set the Folder to available offline, we'll edit the files inside of it to not have a specific policy anymore because we're storing that information on the Folder (parent).

Therefore, there's no need to also store the fact that the file (child) is offline as well. It'll just inherit from the folder's policy instead. If a file's policy differs from it's containing Folder, that's when we'll store a policy on the file.

Hey @apodyopsis, just wanted to clarify things here.

Basically, our suggestion or workaround is to make the folder available offline.

That way, you'll be able to see the dimensions of the folder and all the files inside it.

But we really appreciate your feedback.

Thank you. Yes, making the files offline shows the sizes. But then I can't see the images!

It would be great if it could be fixed.
