App folder duplication

I have create an App and I can connect to it but if I use another device, raspberry pi using dropbox uploader, I use the App secret and App Key to generate a Access Code, but in my App folder another folder is created with a (1) at the end.

 

I'm assuming permissions are wrong somehow?

Based on the icons in the screenshot, I see that the "DTBConnor" folder is actually a "shared folder" (like you can create from the Dropbox web site manually), not an "app folder" (which is created automatically when connecting an app with the "app folder" access type to an account). Since a folder with that name already existed, a "(1)" was added to the name when creating the app folder.

 

Currently, app folders are incompatible with shared/team folders, meaning you can't share an app folder, set an existing shared folder to be an app folder, put a shared/team folder inside an app folder or put an app folder in a shared/team folder.

 

Instead, if you need to use the API with shared/team folders, you'll need to use "full Dropbox" access type, as opposed to the app folder access type. You can find more information about app permissions here:

It's not possible to change the access type on an existing app, but you can register another with the desired access type at:
