I am trying to upgrade back to Dropbox Plus but the checkout page keeps refreshing the page continuously. I am unable to purchase the upgrade and the bot is completely useless.
This has to be the most laughable bug I have ever seen...
Hey @nicoloceneda, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
I'm assuming you're having this issue on the Dropbox website, right?
Have you tried using a different browser or an incognito/private browsing window, to see if that helps?
Let me know how it goes.
Hello,
Mac user based the uk.
I am a Dropbox basic user trying to subscribe to DropBox Plus (2 TO) but Dropbox doesn't accept my paiement.
I have entered my visa détails, clicked on subscribe, and I am stuck at the identity check which is on repeat. I pass the test, sélect the right box which Dropbox confirme only to ask me a fer second later to pass another one and so on.
All idea about what could be the issue very welcome.
T.
Hi @Otto2, thanks for messaging the Community!
Could you try switching browsers to see if this helps?
Otherwise, you can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely.
Keep me updated with any progress!
Hi @Jay
Thank you very much for replying.
I have tried and failed with:
- private browsing on Safari on my Mac
- normal browsing in Chrome on a different Mac (that doesn't belong to me)
- private browsing on Chrome on a different Mac (that doesn't belong to me)
I suppose if the 2nd and 3rd test didn't work it is pointless to try after clearing my cache/resetting my browser (which I would like to avoid doing if possible).
And extra ideas very welcome.
Do you have any proxy, VPN, or even ISP/router issues could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?
Thank you for keeping trying to solde this!
I don't think so as I am using Dropbox everyday including the online version without and problem.
Hi @Otto2, hope it’s OK if I jump in here.
Did you, by any chance, try a different payment method, in order to upgrade your Dropbox account? If you’ve got another card, or even PayPal, please give that a go and let me know what happens.
If that’s not possible though, I can open a ticket for you and investigate this further.
Keep me updated!
You’re all set! I’ve just created a new ticket for you, so please get back to me, when you’ve got some free time.
Thanks.
I have the same problem. Did anyone find a solution? I've tried two different browsers (Safari & Chrome) and have tried Chrome in incognito mode as well but none of them worked. This is really frustrating as I can't access files I need for work so I'd appreciate any help with this. Thanks!
Same here. This was happening all last week too. Unable to pay. I have tried all browsers and they all behave the same...
Hi everyone, do you have a proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router issues could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?
Could you try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions and plugins running?
I've tried four different browsers on two separate networks now. The checkout page is constantly firing off requests and refreshing the summary, and disabling and then enabling the "Purchase" button. Any action triggers a Verification popup which passes and then returns me to the same loop.I'm just trying to give Dropbox money. A tech company this size using FE developers that can't maintain a checkout page doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Will just use Google Drive instead.
Just use PayPal to make the payment. It solved the problem for me. But it utterly ridiculous that they still haven’t fixed the issue.
Hey @RMalik, @Lightwizard and @string, I hope you’re all doing well!
I’m sorry to hear you’re facing this issue, so let’s have a look.
Since I understand that you’ve tried various browsers already, can you go to this page and open a ticket with our support?
After that, send me your ticket numbers here and we’ll check this individually for each one of you.
Cheers.
@RMalik, is there any chance that you’re not logged in to your Dropbox account, when opening the link l sent you?
If you’re signed in, you should be seeing an option to create a ticket with our support directly.
If you want, you can also send me a screenshot of what you see when visiting our Support page.
Hi @Nancy , apologies for the late reply. I am signed into Dropbox but still can't see the option to create a ticket. I see generic help options that I've been seeing from the beginning. It's several screenshots as I scroll down the page; I'm attaching them here in case that helps. Thank you for looking into this!
Hey @RMalik, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Would it be OK if we reach out via email to have a further look internally?
I am having an issue similar to what is described here:
https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Plans-and-Subscriptions/Purchase-page-keeps-refreshing/td-p/589233/page/3
As soon as I log in, the Dropbox webpage begins continuously refreshing, and is thus unable to ever finish loading. I cannot do anything, I cannot view shared documents or manage payments.
I have tried multiple computers and browsers, and I have tried computers on a completely different network/internet.
It is seemingly impossible to reach a live human at Dropbox via phone or chat, and no way to raise a ticket with Dropbox support unless you are already paying for support.
Hey there, @Galen1913, I hope you're doing well!
Can you send me a screenshot of what you see on your end, when this happens?
Keep me posted!
Sure, not much to it, just a blank rapidly refreshing page.
Hi @Galen1913, is this only occurring on your account, since you mentioned using different computers? Are other users able to sign in normally on their own accounts?
It sounds like there is something affecting the internet connection to the Dropbox site, such as a proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains.
