Access Token Changes

Hi, 

We are currently using the following dependency to get the dropbox file using the access token.

I came to know that dropbox is going to change the functionality regarding the tokens.

Could you please let me know that any changes are required from our side?

While the creation of new long-lived access tokens is now deprecated, we don't currently have a plan to disable existing long-lived access tokens. (If that changes, we will of course announce that ahead of time.) That being the case, you can continue using existing long-lived access token(s) without interruption. Note though that after the change you won't be able to create new long-lived access tokens.

 

To update your implementation of the OAuth app authorization flow using the Dropbox Java SDK, you should first update to the latest version of the SDK, which is currently v4.0.1, and then update your code to use the latest authorization flow and options, depending on what functionality your app needs. You can find various examples, e.g., for an Android app under "DropboxAndroid", or other types of apps in the examples folder.
