What are badges?
Badges are our way of celebrating the people who make the Dropbox Community what it is - a helpful space for sharing stories and resolutions.
When you’re getting started, you’ll have no problem earning your first few badges. By joining conversations, asking questions or helping another member, you’ll begin earning them in no time. As you continue contributing and move up through the ranks, the challenges become a little trickier.
Only our most dedicated members manage to collect them all. And of course, we love celebrating them when they do!
How can I earn badges?
Badges celebrate your participation and the positive impact you make in the Community. You can earn them by starting conversations, replying to posts, giving and receiving likes, having your answers accepted as solutions, tagging other members and much more.
We also have special badges, including Community Member of the Month and the Mighty Answer badge. These are awarded to members who go above and beyond to make the Community an even better place.

Conversation Starter! |
| You receive a badge when you start your first conversation - this is usually a Dropbox Community members first badge, show it on your profile with pride. |
Liked |
| When you get your very first like. Someone enjoyed what you shared and now you have the badge to prove it! |
Feeling the Love |
| The more likes you receive, the more badges you’ll unlock! Reach 50 likes to earn the Feeling the Love badge, then keep going to discover what else you can add to your collection. |
Like Giver |
| Give your first like to a helpful, interesting or brilliant post. Sharing the love earns you a badge too! |
Joining In! |
| You can earn badges by posting replies, starting with your very first one: Joining In! |
Conversation Star |
| Just like likes, the more you comment and reply, the more badges you’ll unlock! Join the conversation on other members’ posts and work your way up to Conversation Star and beyond. |
1st Community Anniversary |
| We have a badge for every year you’re here on the Dropbox Community. Why? Because we love celebrating another year with you. |
Ancient Membership |
| Earn one of the most coveted badges in the Community: the ye olde Ancient Membership badge! It comes with ultimate bragging rights and official “I know the Dropbox Community better than anyone” status. |
Helping Hand |
| Here on the community, it’s amazing when you get that email to say your answer has been accepted. It’s a true mark of being a super helpful community member - |
Helping Hero |
| The more accepted answers you have, the more Community members you’ll help - both now and in the future! That’s why we celebrate those all-important accepted answer milestones with badges. Reach 100 to become a Helping Hero… but can you go even further and make it to Legendary Helper? |
Badge Streak |
| Earn three badges in one day and you’ll unlock the Badge Streak badge! As you can see, it shows everyone just how sparkly you are in the Community |
Picture Perfect |
| You’ll earn this badge when you reach the Collaborator level! This means you can update your profile picture to something that shows off your personality. |
Idea Spark |
| Earn the Idea Spark badge when one of your ideas is submitted to the Dropbox team! Wear it with pride…it’s official proof that you’re a Dropbox Community innovator. |
