Get parent folder of a shared folder

Using some sample files in my own Dropbox as an example.

I have the following public shared link to the folder "sample":
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/rg57hqnbsiwhb7k/AACrOIpyLlihM_qdIweFEavTa

I know (but my application doesn't) that "sample" is a sub-folder of "Photos", which is also a shared folder with this link:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/kppi5thjgozgnln/AADU_VtWsTHPtQH-rodcI6I6a

Given the first (subfolder) link, how can I use the API to obtain the second link, or shared folder ID, etc., for the parent folder?

Shared links by design expose as little information as possible about the internal structure of a user's Dropbox. In the example that you provided, the first link to the "sample" folder was created to share only the contents of that directory and subdirectory, and not to reveal anything about the super-structure that it's contained within, so there's no way to retrieve a reference to a parent folder from a shared link to a child folder.

Shared Folders, on the other hand, offer a little bit more info about their surrounding context. Take a look at our files/list_folder endpoint (https://www.dropbox.com/developers/documentation/http/documentation#files-list_folder) and the `FolderSharingInfo` it returns.
