Overwrite file using Dropbox saver

Hi,

I'm using dropbox saver button on my website, to save Generate file to my account on dropbox, and i have 2 questions if you please:

1- How can I automatically saved the file in a specific folder on my dropbox account.

2- How can overwrite an existing file on this folder.

The Saver can't do either of those things. The user who saves the file gets to pick the folder, and intentionally no existing file will get overwritten. (Think of it like the downloads folder you use with your browser... you wouldn't want to overwrite a previous file you'd downloaded just because the file had the same name.)

You may want to auth users in with OAuth and use https://www.dropbox.com/developers/documentation/http#documentation-files-upload instead of the Saver.

What about adding an option for that?

I'm trying to add "Publish to Dropbox" functionality to http://threejs.org/editor/. The workflow I was hoping for was for the user to Publish, select folder with Saver, then the user would just need to reload the published project (page) on their phone (mainly for Cardboard VR).

Folders work (by using "app/file.txt" as filename) but I'm missing overwrite.

Have you guys considered adding a overwrite checkbox in the save panel?

Hi Ricardo, I'm not aware of any specific plans to add that, but I'll send this along as a feature request.
